About

Joanna is an Adjunct Open Educational Resources Librarian at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and the New York City College of Technology. She is also a student in the Interactive Technology and Pedagogy Certificate Program at the Graduate Center. She holds an MS in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute, an MA in Visual and Media Anthropology from the Freie Universitaet Berlin, and a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Art from the University of Louisville.

Joanna is interested in social movements, migration and diaspora communities, youth, politics of higher education, surveillance, open knowledge, political and epistemic violence, archives and records, and critical theory, pedagogy, and methodology.
